Introduction
The digital revolution has a large impact on the art world and how people express their views and perspective of the world. Where art only used to be paintings and physical objects, art can now be created through pictures, media, and animations from all over the world all with the use of a computer, the internet, or software to help and artist put their thoughts, beliefs, criticisms, etc. for the entire world to see instantaneously. Artists are able to create a perspective for viewers that changes the way people view things with the use of technology, and can show this message to anyone with technological capabilities. The digital revolution has allowed artists to manipulate media in ways that can define their message intended for viewers to help shed light on public, societal, and world issues even if they are not living in an affected area with the use of technology.
Artist Inspiration
Martha Rosler

While Martha Rosler speaks out against a lot of social issues in the world, the specific issue that I was focused on and inspired by was her art about the war. Back during the Vietnam War and re-started during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Martha Rosler created images that depicted war in normal settings for the viewer and projecting the war outside of the main setting. This was done in order to show what the affects of war truly are even though the United States may not experience it from a first hand POV. Giving this perspective allows the viewer of her pieces to see what life could be like if they were living in war torn areas opposed to the lives that they currently live. Giving worldwide perspective of how ones' live can be very different if they were born into different circumstances forces one to look at life in a different light. When I look at these created pictures, it makes me think differently about how fortunate I am to be living in a society that is not torn apart from war and other destructive forces that would make my life a lot different than it is now.

I decided to make this picture edit collage to show my thoughts on Martha Rosler's take on war and her artwork series dedicated to it. I am not trying to make a piece that is intended to be a resistance piece, but to shed light on what war does to communities, and the perspective of what it does to youth and our future. I put the child holding the balloon in a war torn city to give perspective of what young, innocent, and naive children have to grow up and live with. There are some areas in the world where all children know is war and survival, when a child show only have to worry about being a child and growing up. There are a lot of issues in the world, and war is one of the major issues that put a strain on society and the future generations.
